Ride Planning / Kansas Dual Sport Safari - Golden Compass Challenge

Are you looking for a navigation challenge while riding?  Are you tired of replacing batteries in your GPS or fiddling with the buttons on your GPS?  Let's take a step back and go back to the "good ol" paper map!

This year I will be hosting the "Golden Compass" challenge that requires the navigation by using ONLY a map while trying to find a number of things.

Thats all what I can tell you now.

Happy Riding!

We have a new ride leader this year. Mackenzie Peterson will be leading a ladies ride through the backroads of eastern Kansas. So all you ladies who don't like to ride with the boys, or want to meet some other ladies of the sport. Sign up, Mackenzie has put in the miles and knows her way around and will show you all the sights at a safe pace.

Gearing Up / Bag Mounting - heavy duty velcro?
« Last post by Nick Bright on February 12, 2020, 06:27:48 PM »
I'm playing with some mounting ideas for my D20 bags. I bought the Perun mounting plates that go into the standard size rack hoops, providing a good backing for the soft luggage (and a place to mount a tool tube). With the additional mounts, I thought I'd try strapping each bag down on its' own side to eliminate the strap crossing over the seat - making seat removal easier.

It seems pretty secure, but I'd like to hear some other folks' thoughts about it. Thanks!

I was thinking about camping at Riverside Park at Langley, it looks like it's only about maybe 10 minutes from the meet up at Speedy's.
